  1. This article can be related to Lord of the Flies, because in the book Jack uses fear to control the majority of the group. For example near the end of the book Jack takes Samneric and punishes them because they abandoned the hunters. When Ralph tells them to go back with him, they don't follow him because their afraid of getting punished again.

  2. Jack in Lord of the Flies just like Steven said above used fear against the boys in Ralph's group. The nuclear leaders of the world are using this tactic by using the fear of nukes to keep people on there side. The U.S. is a part of this not just foreign powers.

  3. Jack is a great example of this article because just like him the nuclear leaders also use fear to control the group. For example Jack used his skill of torturing to bring Sam and Eric on to his side. But the nuclear leaders used there nuclear weapons to bring peopel against them on to there side. This is why the article is revelant to Jacks way of using fear.

  4. The nuclear weapons article relates to fear in a control of the civilians. In the book Lord of The Flies Jack has made srict rules and will punish people who have defied them. As an example he punishes the twins for not joining his group. The relation between the fear the terrorists exploit to the USA's citizens and to Jack exploiting fear to the kids in his group is the same. Terrorists use the weapons to keep the people under their control and Jack uses fear of the beast and fear of his punishments to control the kids.

  5. This article relates to the book Lord Of The Flies because the boy's had a great amount of fear that they hold inside of them. For example, Piggy had a fear that Jack was going to kill him when everyone voted him for cheif. That is exactly what happen but Roger ended up killing Piggy instead. Fear tends to take control on everyone in Lord Of The Flies like with the beast that everyone was scared of.

  7. This article relates to Lord of the Flies because in the article the terrorists use fear to control people because if there is no fear then people will speak out against you but if there is fear then people are afraid of you so there is respect. Just like Jack he uses fear to control the group so that people will be afraid of him to speak out.

  8. The article relates to Lord of the Flies because it makes all the citizens have fear. By making a bomb, they made the terrorists have fear. This relates to Jack, because he makes rules so he can stay in power. By using fear, he can stay in control. This is the same technique that the U.S used.

  9. This article relates to Lord of the Flies because of how people are afraind of terrorist and wont speak up against them. By the people being afraid of the terrorists its allowing them to be in control by using their fear. This relates to Lord of the Flies being all the kids fear Jack and thats what keeps him in control of them. They are afraid of jack and thats why they wont speak up. If people werent afraid to speak up to certain people and issues alot nof things would change for Jack and terrorists.

  11. The article relates to the "Lord of the Flies" because it showed how jack was a complete savage and all he wanted was to bring everyone to his side. If they weren't on his side he was going to end up hunting them.Sam and Eric were so scared they had no choice but to join the group. The article relates to it because when they had made the bomb it was to make the terrorist have fear. And that's what jack was doing to the boys making them have fear.
